The Arthur Stanlick School is located in northwestern New Jersey, nestled between the western shore of Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey’s largest lake, and the Mahlon Dickerson Reservation, an unspoiled, forested park land home to black bear, deer, and a host of other wild life forms.  The school services 328 children in grades two through five and is one of four elementary schools in our K-12, 2,680 student school district.

Arthur Stanlick students receive a well-rounded education consisting of the essential academic disciplines, supplemented by instrumental and vocal music, visual arts, a World Languages program, a makerspace, and computer technology including interactive whiteboards in every classroom.  Special enrichment programs such as Junior Great Books, Math Olympiad, and Debate as well as music and art add challenge and excitement to students’ experiences.  In addition, students at Arthur Stanlick are provided with exciting and engaging extra-curricular learning opportunities through high-interest programs such as our Breakfast Book Club, Harry Potter and Percy Jackson Book Clubs and Chess Club.  Students also anticipate the invention/science fair, Poetry and Pancakes, and Trash-A-Mania events scheduled within the school year.

The students at Arthur Stanlick are provided a variety of support services that assist them with their learning, social, and behavioral needs.  Our support staff includes a school counselor, child study team members, a speech therapist, an occupational therapist, and a physical therapist as well as special education teachers and instructional support aides.  Additionally, our school counselor heads our Intervention and Referral Services (I&RS) committee and 504 Program as well as serves as our anti-bullying specialist.

The Parent-Teacher Association is committed to serving our school’s students and staff through efforts to support our teaching and extra-curricular programs.  The PTA raises and donates money to the school for classroom mini-grants, guest speakers, recognition programs, and activity nights.  The school, PTA, and community share a common vision to offer quality curricular, co-curricular, and enrichment programs for our students.

Arthur Stanlick School is also the focal point of community activities which include year round sports programs, scouting programs, before and after-school child care, parent activities and community gatherings.  For Stanlick students, their school offers much more than daytime classes.  It is an exciting place to be evenings, weekends, and throughout the summer.
